The Gospel Gardens are at the Basilica of the National Shrine of Mary, Queen of the Universe in Orlando, Florida, a magnificent setting for this captivating event.

Get to know sculptor
Timothy Schmalz

Timothy was recently called “The Pope’s Sculptor” by Vatican News. Millions see his sculptures, and two are permanently displayed in the Vatican’s St. Peter’s Square. 

On the evenings of October 10 -11, Timothy will speak and mingle with guests.  He will gift each couple with a signed Gospel Garden's book.  

The first 26 ticket purchasers are invited to a “Special time with Timothy Schmalz” from 3 to 4 pm on Friday, October 10. The event opens at 4 pm, followed by Timothy’s Gospel Garden walking tour.

Meet Speaker Dr. Cheryl White - internationally known historian

Dr. Cheryl White frequently appears on "The History Channel" and across numerous media platforms.  She also lectures at the Smithsonian and the Museum of the Bible in Washington, D.C.  Dr. White is a hisptory professor at LSU Shreveport, an author, filmmaker, and expert on the Shroud of Turin.

On Saturday at 4:30pm, she will lead a Gospel Gardens walking tour exploring the history of the Stations of the Cross.  After the gourmet dinner on Saturday night, Dr. White will enlighten attendees about the connection between the Shroud of Turin and the Stations of the Cross.

Authentic Shroud of Turin replica on display

Patrons attending our two-night fundraising gala will be mesmerized by an authentic
14-foot life-sized replica of the Shroud of Turin. It was produced by the Shroud authorities in Turin, Italy, and appears courtesy of the National Shroud of Turin Exhibit. 

In addition to speaking, Shroud expert Dr. Cheryl White will be available to answer your questions and explain why the Shroud is called the “World’s Greatest Mystery.

Experience the Basilica

On Friday night, guests will enjoy a pre-dinner reception at the spectacular Narthex of Mary, Queen of the Universe.

On Saturday, there is an optional 6 pm Mass inside the 3,500-seat sanctuary before the gourmet dinner.  Out-of-town guests can choose from numerous resort hotels situated near the Basilica.

Basilica choir and musicians

On Friday night, enjoy the famous Basilica choir at a private after-dinner concert in the Sanctuary.
