Dear Fellow Pilgrim,
Have you ever been on a pilgrimage? Would you like to go on a pilgrimage? In preparation for the Holy Year, I will be leading a group of pilgrims, walking in the footsteps of St. John Paul, who was acclaimed as the Pilgrim Pope.
As a Basilica Shrine, we are the pilgrim destination of Central Florida. We welcome thousands of visitors from around the world and from the United States and we have chosen to lead pilgrims to visit other holy sites in the world.
On September 3, 2024, we intend to set out on a journey to visit certain Shrines in Poland. The enclosed flyer includes our itinerary and the destinations that will be visited – places that are a monument to the devotion of the people of God. Many have gone there before us and as we go, we pray for the grace to be strengthened in the Christian way of life and to become more determined to devote ourselves to the service of our sisters and brothers.
We will encounter other pilgrims as well as the locals who live and work in Poland. We will share our faith, our hope and our love. But we will also carry with us the intentions that you entrust to us, and we will offer them at each holy place. Or you may choose to join us not only in prayer but also physically. We still have room available. Think about it, but don’t take too long. Our cut off dates is the beginning of August. Let us continue to pray for each other nonetheless.
Giving thanks for the gift of Mary our Mother and our model for following Christ, we pray that we, following her example, may truly become pilgrims of hope.
Your companion on the journey,
Very Reverend Anthony Aarons, Missionary of Mercy
